Trusts & foundations

You can help us end domestic abuse by making a donation to Rising Sun through your charitable trust or foundation.

We are immensely grateful to the trusts and foundations who generously support our work through one-off or multi-year grants. Many of our specialist services are only possible thanks to the support of independent grant makers who are helping us to end domestic abuse, together.

Together, we can change the lives of hundreds of women and children in east Kent living with domestic abuse and the impacts of this traumatic experience.

If you’d like to support our work through making a grant, or discuss a specific service, we’d love to hear from you.

Transforming the lives of domestic abuse survivors

Grants play a crucial role in enabling us to provide specialist support for survivors of domestic abuse. They enable us to prevent current and future domestic abuse, provide services that are survivor-centred and trauma-informed and advocate for survivors to ensure their voices are heard and listened to.

Your grant could help us provide 1:1 counselling to children aged 5 to 18 who have lived in a home with domestic abuse, helping them to overcome trauma and empowering them to have happy, healthy futures. It could help us home a pregnant young women fleeing domestic abuse, supporting her to draw on her own strengths and build a safe and independent future for herself and her child. Or, you may want to support our work with survivors who are at risk of homelessness and drug/alcohol misuse to break down barriers with other agencies and ensure they are safe.
