One to one support

All About Me

All About Me is a 12-week, one-to-one mentoring programme for children aged 5 to 11 that have experienced domestic abuse. Through playing, talking and activities, All About Me aims to help young people understand their emotions, whilst developing confidence and self-esteem.

Children & Young People’s Counselling

Our counsellors are here to give children and young people, aged 5 to 18, who have been impacted by domestic abuse, a safe space to be heard and process their experiences. Through weekly sessions, our counsellors will empower young people to increase their emotional wellbeing, safety and take the next steps towards recovery.

Adolescent Girls Mentoring

Adolescent Boys Counselling

A 12-week, one-to-one counselling programme that explores the impact that domestic abuse has had on adolescent boys aged 11-17. Our specialist adolescent boys counsellors, are here to support young people in coming to terms with and coping with the impact of domestic abuse. They are here to listen, discuss and provide a safe place for adolescent boys to process their experiences in a trauma-informed space, through age-appropriate methods such as talking or activities.

Project Liberty Mentoring

A one-to-one psychoeducational mentoring programme that supports young women aged 16-24, who are at risk of or are experiencing domestic abuse either in their own relationships or in a family environment. Through talking and activities, it aims to greatly reduce the risk of abuse, empower young women to be free from coercive relationships and exploitation, developing their confidence and self-esteem to empower positive life changes and aspirations for their future.

Liberty Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

Our Liberty Independent Domestic Violence Advocates, also known as IDVA’s, are specialised in supporting young women aged 16-24. They provide support to help young women stay safe and in control of their journey after experiencing domestic abuse.

IDVA’s support young women to rebuild their life, offering practical & emotional support to increase safety and improve health and wellbeing.

Group support

Place for Me

Our Place for Me group programme is for children aged 5 to 11 who have been impacted by domestic abuse, are in vulnerable situations, have unhealthy attitudes or beliefs about themselves or others, or have poor self-esteem. In same-sex groups, the programme supports young people to be safe, gain confidence and self-worth, increase their emotional literacy and build positive relationships which will lead to an increase in aspirations.

Guiding Lights

Guiding Lights is an 8-week group programme for adolescent girls aged 11 to 16 who have been impacted by domestic abuse or are at risk of entering unhealthy relationships or experiencing Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE). Through talking and activities, Guiding Lights aims to help young people understand their experiences and the impact of these, whilst building the confidence to express concern, disclose threats and know how to access support.

Behind the Mask

Behind the Mask is an 8-week group programme for adolescent boys aged 11 to 16 who have experienced domestic abuse, are at risk of entering unhealthy relationships or have unhealthy attitudes or beliefs about themselves or others. Through talking and activities, Behind the Mask aims to help young boys understand their experiences and the impact of these, whilst developing confidence and self-esteem.

Liberty Group

Liberty Group is a 10-week supportive group programme that explores how to stay safe in and out of abusive relationships, the tactics that abusers use, the effect that abuse has had on us as individuals and identifying early warning signs. It allows young women, aged 16-24, to access the support of peers whilst learning about domestic abuse in a safe and friendly environment.

Activity Days

During the school holidays, we host fun activity days to foster peer-to-peer connections with other children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse.

Activity days reinforces children and young people’s 1:1 and group work, whilst building positive experiences alongside others to help develop emotional resilience.
