Supported housing for homeless young women with experience of domestic abuse and who are pregnant or have a young baby

What do we offer?
We provide safe and secure survivor-centred accommodation, within an informal, needs led and holistic environment.
Located close to amenities, the house comprises of five individual spacious bedrooms with a sink, fridge and kettle. The communal facilities include a kitchen, three bathrooms, a lounge, family/play room and a large garden.
Residents will be listened to and supported to draw on their own strengths to build safe and independent futures for themselves and their babies. Residents will be allocated a key-worker and will also have access a range of support including: 1:1 therapy and counselling; life skills workshops such as positive parenting, resilience, simple health and hygiene, budgeting, employability; support and advocacy around domestic abuse and healthy relationships.
Admission Criteria
Those eligible for accommodation and support at Liberty House will:
- Be homeless or facing impending homelessness
- Be aged between 16-24
- Have no children or be pregnant or have a baby or toddler.
- Has experienced or is experiencing some form of domestic abuse in their family homes, or relationships
- Be in need of support and willing to engage and develop skills required for both motherhood and independence
- Be able to live in shared accommodation with others in similar situations with similar support needs
Residents can be referred anytime during their confirmed pregnancy and stay until their baby reaches eighteen months of age. We are not able to provide ‘move on’ accommodation or hasten the normal process.
Making a referral
